CRIME update for May 2026

Dear Resident

Here is an update regarding Burglaries, Vehicle Crime and Criminal damage which occurred in the Forest Recreation Ground & Arboretum Police beat area during the month of May.

Burglaries residential = 4

15/05 Newstead Grove – JBL speaker stolen.

18/05 Clipstone Avenue – Suspect seen attempting to climb through insecure window.

19/05 Gregory Boulevard – Attempt break where 2x masked suspects have walked down alley to front door, tried door handle and peaked through bathroom window before leaving the area.

Between 19/05 and 20/05 Palin Street – Entry to property gained via window.

Criminal damage = 6

Between 01/05 and 09/05 Forest Recreation Ground – Upon returning to vehicle parked in Park and Ride car park found number 67 sprayed on the bonnet.

05/05 Birkin Avenue – Damage to upper and lower pane of window to a property.

07/05 Gregory Boulevard – ATM machine smashed.

13/05 Birkland Avenue – Vehicle keyed from rear door to bumper causing damage.

22/05 Alfreton Road – Hammer used to smashed passenger widow after a road rage incident.

25/05 Thurman Street – Window to front door smashed.

Theft of motor vehicle = 0

Theft from vehicle = 4

Between 03/05 and 04/05 Burford Road – forced entry to vehicle, 2x packet of cigarettes stolen, screwdriver left behind.

14/05 Belper Road – Vehicle ransacked, silver HP laptop stolen.

16/05 Bridlington Street – Vehicle accessed, bottle of perfume stolen.

19/05 Forest Recreation Ground – Between 6:20am and 7:30am, vehicle broken into whilst parked on Park and Ride, 2x laptops, mobile phone, bank card, glasses and headphones stolen. 

PLEASE ENSURE YOU LOCK ALL YOUR DOORS AND WINDOWS, ENSURE YOU REMOVE ALL VALUABLE ITEMS FROM VISIBLE VIEW
