| Hello
Our current local police and partner priorities are:
In comparison to this time last year, we have seen a decrease in ASB by 13% for the Broxtowe NPA, which is great news.
What have we been doing about them?
ASB Beeston and Eastwood Police have been out patrolling the Beeston area to deter ASB and crime. Whilst taking positive action, we have seen a prolific offender Lee KEETON who was arrested, charged, remanded and sent to prison. This was for breaching the terms of his Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO), by his disorderly behaviour which caused distress to others.
Police and Broxtowe Borough Council have been working together on Operation Cognition. Officers have been out engaging with communities as part of a campaign to raise awareness of the consequences of taking alcohol and cocaine together. The initiative is focused on reducing incidents of ASB, violence against women and girls, as the consumption of cocaine and alcohol together can be a factor in domestic abuse incidents. We have engaged with members of the public, leaflets were handed out to people about the dangers, as well as resources from domestic abuse charities.
NPT has also arrested prolific shop theft offender Kelly Freestone who is now in prison for 12 months for stealing from shops across the NPA and breaching her CBO. More details can be found in the link: thief-stole-from-shops-she-was-banned-from-during-spree/
NPT has carried out a Day of Action targeting offenders who were outstanding for offences and failing to appear before the courts. NPT made six arrests on the day which are amazing results. Click on the link for further details: facebook.com/1041036735959419_1212108070944269/
Community concerns Drug dealing concerns were raised. Police have arrested Aaron and Nigel Sisson for possession with intent to supply Class A controlled drugs. Both have been sentenced to over 5 years, which is a fantastic result. Click on the link for further details: Dealer locked up after tossing stash from window | Nottinghamshire Police
