Drug / knife arrest

We arrested a suspected knife carrier and drug dealer after being called to a Nottingham pub.

We were alerted that a teenager at a pub in Hartness Road, Clifton, Nottingham, could be in possession of a blade.

When we arrived at the scene around 8pm on Saturday (2 August) we spotted a suspect walking away from the pub and detained him.

During searches we found two machetes, multiple mobile phones and a bag of suspected Class A drugs.

When we later searched an address in Clifton linked to the suspect we seized further knives, a blank firing pistol and cash from the property.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, possession of a knife in a public place, possession of a knife in a private place and possession of criminal property.

Detective Inspector Lisa Jones said: ā€œI’d like to thank members of the public who alerted us that this suspect could be carrying a knife. Response officers were quickly dispatched to the scene and arrested a teenager carrying two dangerous weapons and drugs.
These were seized and will be destroyed. Officers were also able to recover further knives and cash during the search of a property so it was a very positive result.ā€

Anyone with further information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 573 of 2 August 2025, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
