Broxtowe Country Park

Broxtowe Country Park Day of Action.

The brand new NOTTINGHAMSHIRE POLICE CCTV Van, with the capacity to capture a 360-degree view has been deployed into Broxtowe Country Park to assist officers with the off road bike issues.

The CCTV van is designed to improve resident safety by acting as a deterrent but also capturing real time evidence.

The vehicle, which has been deployed by CITY WEST Neighbourhood Policing Team, has a state of the art 360-degree dual view camera system.

This means it has the capacity to view an entire area, zoom in directly on offenders, identify any potential threats or capture the direction that offenders leave a scene.

One off road bike came onto the park whilst officers were present and has turned around out of the park.

Officers have also completed a knife sweep using metal detectors to identify any potential weapons that have been hidden.

Whilst in the park the police have interacted with members of public and handed out leaflets raising awareness and how to report off road bikes to the police.

The police will continue to tackle off road bikes with further deployments using the CCTV Van in the country park planned.
