Kingfisher Walk - Gateford Rise Anti-Social Behaviour

The Beat Team for Worksop Northwest have been made aware of the raise of anti-social behaviour around the ‘Bird’s Estate’ of Gateford, Worksop. In particular the empty land near Kingfisher Walk. Youths have been seen at the top of the hill throwing items down at the houses and fencing below. Some images have been taken and shared with the local secondary schools for identification and this investigation will be progressed. Although anti-social behaviour may seem trivial to some it can affect the way of life for others such as criminal damage and the costs that comes with it or not being able to enjoy outdoor spaces without being targeted. The local beat team will be making regular patrols around the area over the Easter holidays and engaging with any youths found at the location.

My advice for those involved are not to return to the area and that the top of the hill is private land and can be considered as dangerous due the very steep slope. It is also not a public right of way between Gateford Rise, Kingfisher Walk and Nightingale. Rights of way will be sign posted in which directions to go.

Hopefully we can see a reduction of the anti-social behaviour and enjoy a safe, happy and sunny Easter.
