Our first sessions of Horse Handling Training Bransby Horses - Rescue and Welfare are now complete and mean we have 39 officers from across the county who have had hands-on experience in catching and handling horses as well as having completed theory sessions on how the law affects issues such as fly-grazing, tethering and microchipping. This week will see the first internal meeting of officers who have volunteered to be a part of Nottinghamshire Police Horse watch alongside their normal policing role, we have officers from a broad spectrum of policing and hope to work together and with the community in the future to offer crime prevention advice and support to the equine community. We are continuing to work closely with Bransby Horses and are extremely grateful for their support, we hope to hold further training later in the year |
