Stolen vehicle with separately stolen Registration Plates - Arrest Made!


At approximately 19:00 02/02/2024 officers witnessed a Silver Ford Focus bearing false registration plates, being driven from Highwood Avenue onto Camrose Close, Nottingham only to find out through relevant checks that the Ford Focus was stolen earlier the same day from Harvey Hadden Sports village after the owner had accidently lost his keys on site after attending the leisure center. A suspect was apprehended by officers at the scene to where the vehicle had been parked up on Camrose Close with no other persons witnessed to have fled or be with in the vicinity of the vehicle. The suspect upon initially being challenged denied any knowledge of the vehicle being stolen or any involvement in the theft but after his arrest searches were conducted at Nottingham Custody Suite upon the suspect and he was found to be concealing the keys to the vehicle. The suspect has then later been evidentially linked to the vehicle and charged on remand in custody. 

With good and effective group work from the Neighbourhoods Policing Team at Broxtowe Police Station a positive arrest was made with hope that the owner will soon be able to collect his vehicle in a timely manner without any noticeable damage.
