Your questions answered by the Chief Constable

Watch this video https://youtu.be/jshhwzadiXk to find out what Nottinghamshire Police’s Chief Constable had to say when 24-year-old Parys Bignall-Smith asked what is being done to empower women to speak out on the abuse they suffer.

Parys, who runs a market stall selling clothes in Beeston, is one of the first people to take part in Police and Crime Commissioner Gary Godden’s new ‘Ask the Chief’ section of his Accountability Board, where he offers members of the public the chance to pose a question to Chief Constable Kate Meynell.

Commissioner Godden holds the Accountability Board every two months as part of his responsibility to hold the force to account on behalf of the public.

The public section of March’s Accountability Board will be on the subjects of ‘tackling antisocial behaviour and issues of local concern’ and ‘improving service response to children and young people’.

If you would like to ‘Ask the Chief’ a question on either of those subjects at the next Accountability Board, email mediaopcc@notts.police.uk to find out how.
