Nottinghamshire County Council Trading Standards Service have received reports of tradespeople leaflet dropping in the Newthorpe area. 

Be cautious of unsolicited callers; if a trader knocks on your door, be cautious about agreeing to any goods and/or services without taking time to discuss it with friends or family, and doing some research to check the trader is legitimate. 

Although some doorstep callers may be genuine, be aware that there are many rogue traders that operate through cold calling and door-to-door sales. These traders do not just cold call at the door, they can have professional looking leaflets and place adverts in newspapers, magazines, and other publications.
