Please be vigilant - shed and garage attempted break-ins in your area

We are urging people to be vigilant as investigations continue into a series of attempted shed and garage burglaries in the Stapleford area.

Inquiries are ongoing to trace two youths suspected to have targeted properties between 23 September and 7 October.

Among the incidents being investigated are a shed break-in, during the early hours of 3 October, and a garage burglary, overnight between 23 and 24 September. Entry was gained but thankfully nothing stolen during these incidents.

A number of attempted break-ins have also been reported.

It’s believed addresses have been targeted with intent to steal motorbikes and tools.

Our officers are currently treating the incidents as linked and are working hard to trace two suspects wearing face coverings and dark clothing at the time of the offences.

Reassurance patrols have also been stepped up in affected areas.

If you see anyone acting suspiciously in your area call us on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. In an emergency call 999.
